Victoria Hall

Architectural Profiles Limited and Europe's tallest modular building

The recent Victoria Hall development of student accommodation at Lock Street, Wolverhampton, consists of four tower blocks, the tallest of which is 25 stories and is the tallest modular building, principally constructed offsite, in Europe – Architectural Profiles Limited supplied all the CPS Rainscreen system metal cladding for this project.

Architects for this impressive development were OConnell East Architects, Manchester and the installers of the 11,500 m² of external facades on all four towers were Pressiton Construction (UK) Ltd.

At all times liaison between architects, installers and principal suppliers was ‘full on’ with emphasis towards the efficiency of the construction as a system and the energy efficient performance of the building on completion.

Architectural Profiles design and manufacture APL Energi™ Systems for walls and roofs and were able to provide invaluable experience and advice on energy efficient systems and construction economies available through time saving systems for the building envelope.

Pressiton spokesperson Ruaidhri Horan said that it was a credit to Architectural Profiles Ltd’s involvement that the project was kept on budget and delivered on time.
