Porsche's new 'Living Wall' is framed by an APL metal envelope
The stunning new Porsche headquarters building in Chiswick, designed by Axis 3 Architects, is prime example of how creative use of the new generation of metal cladding and Rainscreen systems can provide architects and designers with amazing new design opportunities.
The picture here shows only the rear elevation of the new building which integrates Architectural Profiles Limited's AP30/35 profile produced in polished black (RAL 9005) and their Slimwall™ CPS/SSF aluminium rainscreen panels framing a living wall of selected sedums. The main front elevation features Alucobond Panels, also fabricated by Architectural Profiles Limited, this time in metallic silver.
Architectural Profiles Limited is best known for its extensive range of metal profiles and Rainscreen systems but it also has developed a range of patented construction and fixing systems now being routinely specified on many new and refurbishment projects.
