Roof Plant Screening – with Amazing Economy.
Architectural Profiles Limited of Reading is producing a perforated Louvre System for roof-top plant installations which dramatically reduces material and construction costs, by approx 50% on tradition systems, whilst also providing valuable performance benefits alongside the very attractive visual advantages.
By effectively allowing 55% air flow the AP70 Louvre System significantly reduces wind load which, in turn, beneficially reflects on the weight of the perimeter support structure.
The project pictured here is the Salford University Gateway Project, designed by Stride Treglown Architects, in which over 3000 metres of perforated louvre was supplied. This is the first of a following eight Midlands educational establishments which will be installing the APL system.
