APL Energi Systems® for Roofs and Walls specified for Corby Campus College

The brand new £36m Tresham College of Further Education on the Corby Campus in Northamptonshire is certainly an eye-catching development, whilst also being at the forefront of sustainability and energy efficiency. Whilst the impressive array of solar panels contribute to the reduction of energy costs, so too does the construction of the roofs and walls themselves through the use of Architectural Profiles's Energi Systems® for roofs and walls.

The roof was specified as AP65ZS Standing Seam with a U Value performance of 0.18W/m2.k. and has a white lining internal finish, perforated for internal noise control. Large areas of the walls have AP45 HR (Half Round) external cladding on an APL StrongBak® Structural Wall Framing system with a white polyester internal finish. There are also areas of AP70LCP louvre profile cladding integrated into the overall external envelope.

This is another example of an APL 'Through Wall Engineering®' construction and demonstrates how well APL cladding products and envelope systems work so efficiently together.
